La noche anterior a la entrega de los Oscar, se celebran en Santa Mónica los Film Independent Spirit Awards, la única premiación que distingue al cine más arriesgado y desprejuiciado de la industria. Como hace cinco años I.Sat se enorgullece en trasmitir esta ceremonia, el sábado 23 de febrero a las / 9p.m. en vivo y en exclusiva para toda Latinoamérica.
Este galardón, que en esta edición será conducido por el actor Andy Samberg (Saturday Night Live), distingue a aquellos directores, actores, guionistas y técnicos que no necesitan presupuestos millonarios para sus películas, a todos aquellos artistas del cine que convierten la limitación de recursos en la llama que aviva la creatividad y el ingenio. Entre los nominados de esta vigésima octava edición se encuentran Moonrise Kingdom de Wes Anderson, Bernie de Richard Linklater y Keep The Lights On de Ira Sachs, entre muchas otras películas y realizadores dignos de admiración.
