Critics Choice Super Awards
La primera edición de los Critics Choice Super Awards hace su estreno en la temporada de premiaciones con un reconocimiento a aquellos géneros olvidados en las principales ceremonias de la industria. Las películas y series sobre superhéroes, acción, fantasía, terror, ciencia ficción y animación destacarán a las mejores producciones y talentos en cine y televisión en una gala que será transmitida en exclusivo por TNT (español) y TNT Series (idioma original), el domingo 10 de enero, a las 19.00 (MEX) / 20.00 (COL) / 22.00 (ARG / CHI) horas.

Entre las principales candidatas para el rubro de cine aparece Palm Springs (Hulu y NEON) con un total de cinco nominaciones, que incluyen Mejor Película de Ciencia Ficción / Fantasía, Mejor Actor (Andy Samberg y JK Simmons) para la misma categoría, Mejor Actriz (Cristin Milioti) y Mejor Villano (JK Simmons). También destacan, con cuatro nominaciones, Birds of Prey (Warner Bros.), Freaky (Universal), Onward (Disney+), Sonic the Hedgehog (Paramount), The Hunt (Universal), The Old Guard (Netflix) y The Willoughbys (Netflix).

En la categoría de televisión, Lovecraft Country (HBO) es la principal aspirante con seis postulaciones, que incluyen Mejor Serie de Terror, Mejor Actor (Michael K. Williams y Jonathan Majors), Mejor Actriz (Wunmi Mosaku y Jurnee Smollett) y Mejor Villano (Abbey Lee). La serie The Boys (Amazon), le sigue con cinco opciones.

Además, la organización de los Critics Choice Super Awards entregará el premio Legacy a la franquicia Star Trek, que cumple 55 años, y que será recibido por Patrick Stewart y Sonequa Martin-Green. El reconocimiento celebra el impacto cultural de esta producción durante décadas y que le ha permitido atraer y aumentar su base de fanáticos leales con nuevas historias y personajes.

TNT presenta los Critic’s Choice Awards

Por primera vez llega a TNT los Critic’s Choice Awards, la entrega de premios a los mayores talentos de la industria del cine y la TV, otorgados por las dos principales asociaciones de críticos norteamericanos: Broadcast Film Critics Association y Broadcast Television Journalists Association. En vivo el domingo 17 de enero a las 7p.m. Con los comentarios de Rafa Sarmiento e Ileana Rodríguez Govela y opción de audio SAP. ¡No te pierdas otra oportunidad de ver de cerca a tus estrellas favoritas!

El evento tendrá una repetición por TNT el lunes 18 a las 11.30a.m. Feed TNT HD 10.15a.m.

El actor T.J. Miller (Silicon Valley, Gravity Falls, How to Train Your Dragon 2) será el anfitrión de la 21era edición de los Critic’s Choice Awards, a realizarse en el Barker Hangar de Santa Monica, California.

Mad Max: Fury Road lidera las nominaciones este año con 13, incluyendo Mejor actriz y Mejor actriz en una película de acción para Charlize Theron, junto a Mejor actor en película de acción para Tom Hardy, y George Miller como Mejor director.

Carol, The Martian y The Revenant cosecharon 9 postulaciones cada una, incluyendo la Carrera por Mejor película, Mejor director y Mejor fotografía. Spotlight consiguió 8 nominaciones, The Big Short, siete, y The Hateful Eight, seis. Bridge of Spies, Brooklyn, The Danish Girl, Jurassic World y Sicario consiguieron cinco, y Room cierra el lote con cuatro.

Jennifer Lawrence está en carrera por 3 premios, por sus trabajos en Joy y The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2, mientras que Tom Hardy y Charlize Theron están nominados por 2 premios de actuación. Rachel McAdams también aparece con dos menciones, por Spotlight y True Detective.

En TV, Fargo es la principal candidata, con 8 postulaciones. La siguen The Leftovers y Transparent con 6 por lado. The Wiz Live! Suma 5, mientras que Black-ish, Mr. Robot y Penny Dreadful se alzaron con 4. People’s Choice Awards 2016

Ya se acercan los People’s Choice Awards 2016, el evento en el que el público distingue a sus talentos, programas y series favoritos. Su 42da edición será transmitida EN VIVO y en exclusiva para la TV cable en Latinoamérica por Warner Channel el miércoles 6 de enero a las 8pm.

La conducción de la ceremonia estará a cargo de Jane Lynch, reconocida actriz y comediante ganadora de un Golden Globe, un Screen Actors Guild Awards® y 3 Emmy. Lynch, quien ya se destacó como anfritriona de la 63° edición de los Emmy Awards, protagoniza la inminente serie Angel From Hell, a estrenarse en la región durante 2016 en Warner Channel.

“Como persona que soy, estoy emocionada por cumplir con el rol de host en el único premio que celebra la opinión del público” dijo Lynch, ganadora del rubro Actriz favorita de comedia en TV (2011) en los People’s Choice Awards.

En lo que refiere a Televisión competirán varios shows de Warner Channel, como Supernatural, que sumó tres postulaciones. Por un lado, figura como Show favorito Sci-Fi / fantasía – TV network, en tanto que los compañeros de elenco Jensen Ackles (“Dean”) y Misha Collins (“Castiel”) competirán como Actor favorito de Sci-Fi / fantasía.

La eterna preferida The Big Bang Theory se hizo de cinco nominaciones: Show favorito de TV, Comedia favorita – TV network, Actor favorito de comedia (Jim Parsons y Johnny Galecki) y Actriz favorita de comedia (Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting).

Gotham aparece nominada en el rubro Show dramático favorito – TV network, mientras que las nuevas series Supergirl y Blindspot lo hacen en el apartado Nuevo drama favorito. Arrow se anota como Show favorito Sci-Fi / fantasía – TV network. Otra series nominadas de Warner Channel son 2 Broke Girls, Mom, Person of Interest y Mike & Molly.

Al igual que ocurre desde 2012, la ceremonia se realizará en el Microsoft Theater de Los Angeles. Como ya se mencionó, Jane Lynch estará a cargo de la conducción, tomando la posta de Allison Janney y Anna Faris (Mom). En 2014 la dupla elegida fue Kat Dennings y Beth Behrs (2 Broke Girls), mientras que Kaley Cuoco (The Big Bang Theory) deslumbró en 2013.

Este domingo desde el Teatro Dolby en Los Angeles se llevó a cabo la 87ª ceremonia de los Premios de la Academia (Oscar 2015) en donde la gran ganadora de la noche fue la película “Birdman” al obtener los premios a Mejor película así como vencer en las categorías Mejor Fotografía, Mejor Director y Mejor Guión Original.

Dirigida por Wes Anderson, la película “El Gran Hotel Budapest” fuera ganadora en cuatro categorías técnicas – Mejor Banda Sonora, Mejor Maquillaje y Peinado, Mejor Diseño de Vestuario y Mejor Diseño de Producción. El drama musical “Whiplash” ganó en las categorías Mejor Actor de Reparto, Mejor Edición y Mejor Mezcla de Sonido.

Oscar 2015: Lista de Nominados

La Academia de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas anunció a los nominados al Oscar 2015. Los directores JJ Abrams y Alfonso Cuarón anunciaron los primeros nominados, dividiendo después las 24 categorías con el actor Chris Pine y Cheryl Boone Isaacs, la Presidenta de la Academia.

Las películas Birdman y El Gran Hotel Budapest encabezan las nominaciones, cada una con 9.

Relatos salvajes (Wild Tales), de Damián Szifrón se encuentra nominada en la categoría de “Mejor Película Extranjera”. Relatos salvajes es la película sensación de la taquilla en Argentina, con casi 4 millones de espectadores. La cinta presenta seis historias independientes, protagonizadas por Ricardo Darín, Oscar Martínez, Leonardo Sbaraglia, Érica Rivas, Rita Cortese, Julieta Zylberberg y Darío Grandinetti, entre otros. Tras participar del Festival de Cannes, recibió 9 nominaciones en los Premios Goya.

TNT transmitirá en vivo este prestigioso galardón el domingo 22 de febrero, con el debut de Neil Patrick Harris como anfitrión. La transmisión incluirá el Pre-Show exclusivo desde la alfombra roja a cargo de Liza Echeverría y Axel Kuschevatzky, así como los comentarios de Rafa Sarmiento durante la premiación.

People’s Choice Awards 2015

Warner Channel transmitirá EN VIVO y en exclusiva para la TV cable en Latinoamérica la 41ra edición de los People’s Choice Awards. La cita será el miércoles 7 de enero a partir de las 11p.m.

Al igual que sucede desde 2012, la ceremonia se realizará en el Nokia Theatre de Los Angeles y contará con la conducción de las talentosas actrices Allison Janney y Anna Faris, protagonistas de la serie Mom. En la edición pasada esta responsabilidad recayó en Kat Dennings y Beth Behrs, protagonistas de 2 Broke Girls, mientras que en 2013 la elegida fue Kaley Cuoco (The Big Bang Theory).

En lo que respecta a Cine, las candidatas en el rubro Actriz favorita son Jennifer Lawrence, Scarlett Johansson, Angelina Jolie, Emma Stone, y Melissa McCarthy. En tanto que para el premio a Actor favorito aparecen Brad Pitt, Channing Tatum, Hugh Jackman, Mark Wahlberg y Robert Downey Jr.

Las nominadas a Película favorita son 22 Jump Street, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, Maleficent y X-Men: Days of Future Past. En la categoría Película de acción favorita, la lista es similiar: The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Divergent, Guardians of the Galaxy y X-Men: Days of Future Past, con lo que se destaca el ascendente que los personajes de Marvel tienen hoy en la industria del entretenimiento.
